What we do

One crew for the dirtwork around your project.

Built around the services homeowners most often need before, during and after a property improvement project.

🌲

Land Clearing

Open usable acreage, building sites, fence lines and access areas by removing unwanted vegetation and debris.

🌿

Brush Clearing

Remove briars, vines, saplings and heavy overgrowth while preserving trees and areas you want to keep.

🪵

Tree Removal

Small residential tree-removal projects and cleanup where access and careful site protection matter.

⚙️

Stump Grubbing & Grinding

Grind stumps below grade or excavate stumps and root balls when the area needs to be rebuilt or regraded.

🚜

Light Excavation

Small pads, trenching, drainage work, removals, backfill and other compact-equipment excavation.

↘

Trenching & Drainage

Direct water away from problem areas with utility trenches, drainage swales, culvert work and careful finish grading.

📐

Grading

Shape and finish residential yards, pads, driveways and drainage areas with attention to positive water flow.

🏗️

Site Prep

Prepare areas for sheds, garages, pools, additions, driveways and other residential improvements.

🚛

Hauling

Move dirt, gravel, brush, logs and jobsite materials as part of clearing and sitework projects.

♻️

Disposal & Cleanup

Load, haul and dispose of eligible material so you are left with a cleaner, more usable site.

Planning prices

Common-service starting prices

Use these as budgeting ranges, not guaranteed bids. Final price depends on access, quantity, slope, material, disposal, utilities and site conditions.

Stump Grinding

$225+per stump · two-stump/$450 minimum per visit

Starting point for accessible residential stumps. Larger diameter, surface roots, cleanup and difficult access increase price.

Stump Grubbing

$350+per stump

Excavation/removal of stump and root mass when grinding is not the right finish.

Brush Clearing

$1,250+small-job minimum

Light residential brush and understory; acreage and density are quoted from photos/site review.

Mini Excavation

$650+half-day planning rate

Light excavation, trenching, grading and small-site work. Operator, mobilization and conditions affect final price.

Grading / Site Prep

$750+small-project starting point

Yard shaping, shed/pad prep and small residential grading; material is additional when required.

Hauling / Disposal

$175+per local trip

Planning price for short local trips; dump fees, weight and travel can change the total.

Why starting prices? Sitework is highly condition-dependent. A photo-first quote reduces surprises and lets us price the actual job rather than a generic square-foot number.

Automated quote workflow

Build a project estimate in minutes.

Choose the service, describe the scope and add photos. The estimator provides a planning range, then you can request a site review and choose the dates that work best for you.

  1. Tell us what you need. Select services and approximate quantities.
  2. Get a planning range. The site calculates a non-binding starting estimate.
  3. Upload photos. Show access, grade, vegetation and the work area.
  4. Request a visit. Choose preferred dates, then we’ll confirm the appointment.
Preferred site visit

Choose a first choice and an alternate if you have one. We’ll confirm the final appointment by email and text.

Clayton / Triangle field guide

Erosion control & aggregate driveway best practices

Before disturbing soil

  • Identify the drainage path and protect downstream areas.
  • Keep cleared limits as small as practical.
  • Preserve established vegetation where it helps stabilize slopes.
  • Plan where runoff will go before cutting or filling.

During grading

  • Shape positive drainage instead of creating flat low spots.
  • Stabilize exposed soil promptly with seed/mulch, erosion-control blanket or other appropriate cover.
  • Use temporary diversion measures where runoff could concentrate.
  • Keep sediment from leaving the site or entering storm drains.

Aggregate driveway

  • Remove unsuitable organic material and establish a stable subgrade.
  • Address drainage first; water is a primary cause of rutting and washout.
  • Use a compacted base such as ABC where appropriate, then finish with the selected surface aggregate.
  • Build the crown/cross-slope to shed water while keeping grades practical for vehicles.

After construction

  • Inspect after heavy rain and repair concentrated-flow paths early.
  • Maintain ditch outlets and driveway culverts so water can leave the road.
  • Refresh aggregate before the base becomes exposed and rutted.
  • Where permits or regulated buffers apply, follow the applicable Johnston County / NC requirements.
This guide is practical field information, not engineering or permitting advice. Drainage designs, regulated buffers, wetlands, septic systems and larger erosion-control plans may require qualified professionals and/or local approvals.
